New Packaging

Over the course of this year, you may have noticed that RUKO UK has been phasing out the steel packaging used in our RUKO and TERRAX by RUKO ranges. Now, RUKO UK will be taking the next step in sustainable Packaging within the RUKO range with a new plastic-free, recyclable and compostable form of packaging. This new packaging form has been named the "REPACK by RUKO" campaign.

What is the new REPACK by RUKO packaging?

REPACK by RUKO is manufactured from Fibre Cast. Based on secondary, rapidly renewable and natural raw materials, such as natural fibres from straw, hay and also waste paper, the so-called fibre cast is created, which can be completely reused, composted or recycled in a simple way if disposed of correctly. Thanks to the environmentally friendly material of the packaging and the printing based on organic inks, a sustainable packaging cycle can be ensured.

How resistant is the new packaging?

Due to the nature of cast fibre, this packaging is very stable. The organic coating ensures that it is water and oil resistant as well as heat resistant. This makes it an optimal alternative to plastic packaging. It is also lighter than a plastic cassette. This ensures that less CO2 is emitted during transport and thus reduces the CO2 footprint.

Shock Resistant Liquid Resistant Heat Resistant
The cast fibre material is extremely resistant and absorbs shocks, thus offering optimum product protection. An organic-based coating, without any chemical additives, protects the packaging from liquids, such as cutting oil, and thus prevents the inlays from soaking. In addition, the organic coating protects the inlays from the effects of heat, e.g. from hot tools directly after use.

How do the Drill Bits fit in the new packaging?

The sustainable REPACK packaging made of cast fibre is available with two multifunctional inlays, in each of which three different sets of drills can be placed. Thanks to this solution, the amount of packaging can be minimised and packaging costs reduced.

Which products will this effect?

The assortment of products utilising this packaging so far, include: Step Drill Bits, Countersinks and Machine Taps.

With more products to follow overtime.

When will the new packaging be distributed?

RUKO UK is yet to distribute products that are packaged in this new form of "REPACK by RUKO", but in time, RUKO UK will be looking to convert and dispatch products with this packaging. There will be no difference in the ordering process and the shipping policy. This new packaging will follow the same, rules, guidelines and regulations on shipping as the rest of the RUKO UK range of RUKO, TERRAX and Panther PPE Products.
